Good afternoon all. I have a freight liner with a detroit d60 motor. I am puffing large clouds of black smoke (nothing wrong with it if the truck is running great lol) when i am under acel in any gear. What happens is, i get in the throttle and the truck feels like it is sneezing or has bad hiccups, at that time it is puffing a quick cloud of smoke (black). When the turbo initially spools it sounds really good and then it turns into a lil ole jetsons cartoon car sound. Its been to the freight shaker shop 5 times now, gets put on the computer and nothing is wrong. They will not drive the truck or ride with me for the symptoms to occur.

Ok so the shop just called me. So far they have found water in the computer. They are putting dielectric grease to try and see if that works. The computer didnt pick up any codes. If this works that means the freight shaker sales/shop in odessa texas have their heads up their ###es and arent worth donkey balls.

Water in the ecm is never a good thing other than dielectric grease i would check or reseal the back cover.
