I have had it only 10months but what i have learned i wished i would have got one from when truck was new all it costs is some time kinda a dirty job to clean and some o-rings that don't need to be replaced every. time i have not extended my oil changes for what i do i won't but it has made my oil samples alot better the new spinner has a desposible roter mine i have to clean .

I use Donaldson Endurance oil filters , sorry I don't have a link, but they are worth looking at, just do a google search, oh they are a little bit dearer but if I buy a box of 6 they work out only a few $ more each.

These engines do NOT like the cold. I havent been able to get better than 7.3mpg since december, water temp never goes above 150, slightly higher on steep climbs.
Best I've ever gotten was 8.7 mpg during summer from Ft.Worth TX to Casa Grande AZ. admittedly perfect conditions no wind, 8000 in the box and running at 54mph in 12th @1400RPM
The worst I had was 5.4mpg in horrible cross winds with outside temp around 19 F.

I have found two cracks on the CAC (which I tried patching with JB weld but that didnt work). And the EGR valve started sticking a couple of times when I had to lay into it hard.
What I have done so far is to put on a high flow muffler and air filter, no noticeable gains! So I wouldn't recommend doing that.
