Been having some electrical gremlins trying to show themselves for a couple days. Bunk heater would only run a few minutes. With the key to accessory the radio and outlets and even the qualcomm would turn off and on as they pleased. Then last night while I was driving, the lights would dim and brighten while the volt meter danced up and down. Called maintenance to see what they wanted me to do. Figured they would send me to a shop before the thing went dead. "We wont fix it while its still working" they say. Fine, its your truck. Today after I make a pickup, 5 miles later, all the lights come on inside, then everything goes away. Coasted through the intersection and sat in the right lane of traffic. Not even the flashers worked. So, after a 50 mile tow, and a hotel room for me, now you can fix it. Maybe next time when I tell em things are going south they will listen. Maybe not?
"Just keep driving" they said...

I actually was a bit concerned about that the last couple nights. I sleep pretty heavy, and wouldnt like to wake up roasted.

NO company fixes ANYTHING as long as the truck will still drive.
guess it's more convenient to spend more money when it's actually broke.BobbyTTour Thanks this. -

I can say my company wont fix it until it needs a tow. Found the problem was a loose connection where the power cable bolts to a box on the firewall. The stud is loose inside the box. Knowing just a bit about electrical systems, and how loose major connections can damage things, I asked my co if they would have the alternator and batteries checked. His answer was, "We know its just a loose connection, why would we look at anything else?" Its your truck guy. I dont mind a night off in a free hotel. Hope they get pakage deals on tows with their attitude.

I feel bad for you guys.
Nothing like that ever happens or will ever happen where I work. There are two reasons, first is I wouldn't drive a truck if I think its going to fail and the second is the boss won't let that kind of stuff happen. -
