Finally found where that hissing sound was coming from on my 97 peterbilt. It was beneath the ignition and looks like some sort of check valveour sensor. Part number is 0620 B76577 4. It had 2 writes connected to it and also had a plastic cone looking back that was hissing air. i will try and post a picture of it. Does anyone have a clue what this might be? And moreover, what is the price tag for such a piece? Thanx again IMAG0599.jpg everyone

If it came from a block with air pressure all the time, it could be the low air warning switch. Switches like these are also used for brake lights, and cruise cancel switches as well.

If it only leaks with brakes released that could simply be your park brake warning light. Detroit engines also needed one to kick out PTO mode.

So would you say it was normal for that part to leak? I mean, could it be made to release a certain amount if air when the trailer brakes are released? The air is coming from the end of that black, plastic piece. The hissing comes from there, drives me crazy
