I have a 2009 prostar international. The air horn on it has seem to stop working. When I press the button all you hear is the compressor. I was windering if anyone has any ideas on what is wrong with it and where the horn is located.

So when you push the button, you hear the air compressor? That makes no sense to me. Are you saying all you hear is air leaking? The air horn is mounted under the front cross member. They are in a bad spot for getting damaged from road debris. They are only plastic and easy to break off.

When you press the air horn button on the steering wheel it sounds like this! You hit it and it goes psht. Like when the button is pressed you can hear air escaping but no horn noise.
-
Either the horn itself is broken, or the air line going to it is popped off or leaking. Have someone push down the button while you track down the location of the air leak.

So I messed with it today and you can feel air blowong through the horn bit it won't blow.

I have never opened one up, but there must be a reed valve or some thing inside a horn to make it sound. Simply must be broken or something stuck up inside. Rare failure. Should be easy to replace, only a couple of bolts and the one air line which should be a quick-connect type fitting.

Just replaced mine 2 days ago. Got one of eBay for $110 after OEM got damaged. I placed new one on the inner plastic fender close to fuel filter. Sound is 300% better.

After i lost my original i got one from harbor freight for $15 that had small air-compressor, i hooked this POS to 120 PSI and it sounded good, well for 10 seconds LOL. Then i was looking for it all over parking lot. Save your time and money, buy quality.

sounds like the diaphragm is broken in the horn or maybe a seal leak. There is a piece in every air horn that flaps rapidly and the trumpet amplifies the tone. You need this to be road legal, so if it's not your vehicle, I highly recommend you report it so your equipment all works.
