I did not get in touch with him. I didn't make any changes to the tune when I replaced the turbo.

Earlier this spring the exhaust elbow that goes up to the muffler rusted out, essentially making it a hay burner. Since the leak was behind the rear wall of the cab I considered it legal by DOT specs and ran it that way all summer. My MPG improved to 6.5-7.3 with the better flowing exhaust. I even had an IFTA quarter average 6.7mpg. Well about a month ago my driver got inspected and the officer wrote him up for the leak. So I had the elbow and the muffler replaced. The MPG fell off instantly. We're now getting 6-6.5mpg, usually closer to 6. We have been running the same trip all summer, loaded out to western ND, and empty back to Fargo. Daily. So it's easy to compare days, they are mostly all the same route and miles and load.

Sounds like the exhaust system you have is fairly restrictive: might want to consider a free flowing exhaust to keep that fuel mileage up.
