I just bought Insite and a new PC laptop so I can do my own diagnostics and tweaks and software updates. $100 each time the grease monkey at the truck stop hooks up his computer is too much. I could have bought Insite 10 times by now with what I paid to shops.
Does anyone here have experience with Insite? I am looking for instructions on using it or where I can find video instructions. I think I need a key generator too to unlock the different levels but I am not sure how that works.
New to Cummins Insite

if you have basic licensie - inside is just a tool to read and clear fault codes, not more.... ouh wiring pics are included.
So you can see the same codes with dashboard) -
Everything you need to know is in the software, it is pretty good with the help files and what the different options do. Cummins has a good training program too.
IF you have a chinese knock off, then you bought something that may be missing a bunch of things to do proper tuning of your ECM options.
If you need a key generator, then you are committing a crime because the keys are for a licensed users <== have to post this. -

Ridgeline hit the nail on the head. The help file is a very good user manual. There will be a lot of parameters, don't change any until you understand what they do. It's all in the help file.
