    Hi
I have a 2008 tripac with the wide multi-groove belt. Can anyone tell me if this can easily be replace with the bottom cover off? Is the belt tensioner easy to access?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Its a easy job, take the big bottom cover off the one that holds the muffler in place, also take the top cover off too so you get light from top. The belt is adjusted by the long rod that connects the a/c compressor anf the alternator. While you at it replace the water pump belt also. Just take the four nuts off the water pump pully and the belt will come off.

My apu with 7400 hrs has gotten to where it starts rough or doesnt start on the first try. When it doesnt start it shuts off with eng code. After i reset it and on the second try it starts rough but smooths out pretty quickly and runs fine. I have serviced it myself regularly. Almost like maybe it starves for fuel on first try. I put a new fuel filter on at last service a few months ago roughly 1k hrs back??

Did you change both fuel filters or forget about the small metal primary filter every time like everyone else?

Lol. Yeah i changed that one also. It is a pain in the butt to get to. I did oil plus oil filter fuel water sep inline (metal one) fuel filter and air filter. Someone mentioned it may have a fuel screen that needs cleaning?? Any other suggestions. Sitting here now in sarasota fl with it on 75 and its cold as heck so other them misfire/rough start it is awesome.

May be a weakening fuel solenoid on the mechanical pump not functioning properly.

You have a weak ground. Run a ground wire from your tripac engine block directly to the negative side of the battery and should solve this problem.
