You'll need to get a part number and brand off each filter and call around your local shops like truck pro, fleet pride, Freightliner, etc. I've yet to find any deals online due to the way the heavy truck parts market works and the weight/size of most parts. You realize every truck is custom built right? It's not a Mustang or Civic. On top of that, I've found heavy truck PM's to be not worth doing it yourself when you factor in price, time and mess and I do my own Mobil1 oil changes on my personal vehicles.

 

I am partial to Donaldson Extended Life oil filters myself. Standard Donaldson air filters. One of the best places I have found to get filters at a reasonable price is www.ryderfleetproducts.com Just plug in your filter part number on the home page. They have Fleetguard also if you are so inclined.

I have the filters I want and the oil I want, as the local shop I use has neither of these and I can get them at better pricing than they can. I just take the stuff with me in the side box and they do the oil change at just labor rate. I used to do my own all the time, but the labor charge now is worth the reduced hassle. I like Delo Synthetic 5w40 and I can get it at Wally World for $19.98 a gallon. I can get Donaldson Extended Life fitters for my ride at $20 a pop from RFP. Fuel filters for my Davco at $10 a pop.

 

Labor charge and then a surcharge for shop supplies (rags and such) and disposal fee. I get hit for about $90. I do my own greasing, but I have them check the boxes when they are doing the oil change. And there is a darn fine looking young lady to talk to while waiting, a big screen TV on satellite, Free soft drinks and coffee! All in a very nice waiting lounge that doesn't look like you are at a shop facility. They are going to start stocking the filters I use and the cost to me is comparable to what I get them from Ryder Fleet Products, so will just use their filters instead of bringing my own. I always keep a couple of oil filters and fuel filters in the side box anyway though.
