I forget to tell ya about the KW I moved from mane to WV for a guy. He said it was his dream truck. Photo-10029.jpg 3406B, 18spd. :biggrin_25519:

ETA; it looked way better before all the road spray from the slush. I was going to take a picture when we loaded it but it was before dawn.

Looks like a nice clean old truck. There was a nice old cabover Marmon in Argyle I kept wanting to stop and ask about. I finally ran into the owner at the truck show in Schaghticoke and he said he sold it last spring to someone up in Fort Ann, cheap. Snooze you loose I guess.

Nice looking KW I would take a bus or get a ride to pick mine up.... Wonder what the bill was to have it hauled to him?

Only $1700. It was like hauling an empty trailer it was so light. :yes2557:

Yea so would I. I asked him why not just drive it? He said It was just to show and restore. He didnt have plans to put it on the road at that time.

Funny thing is since this thread started it got me curious about the pole fleet at systems. I was originally going to go on the regular otr fleet but am now driving one of systems cabovers. It's been a adjustment for me, getting used to the Honda sized shifter and getting used to the way it handles. I've been enjoying it though. They are phasing them out here shortly and I will be getting a new kw t800. Gonna be kinda sad to see this one go.

I run a cabover nothing wrong with it. 1985 362 Pete 110 double bunk with a 3406 and a 13 spd all air ride. I get the mpg as most newer trucks 6.5 to 7 not bad for a old school Pete. It can climb the mountains with the best of them and runs out very good. So don't be scared cabovers are getting scarce and old timers are buying them up so the price on them are going up.

I had a chance to ride mercedes benz Actros 1844. Its more comfortable than a Cadillac , 10 year kid can drive it, so easiy to shift ,handle etc. and no such noise
