I have a question regarding our Schools 18-wheel trailer we use to haul marching band equipment. (sorry- not sure where else to post)-
We own a standard sized 18 wheel trailer (not exactly sure of length but has tandem wheels)- We use it to move a 150 piece band around the state (Drums/chimes/xylophones etc)..... the trailer has what look like standard holes all down the walls to be used to attach bungee cords/tie downs to - for securing equipment. My question is- we could really use a 2nd "level" so to speak to store stuff above and take advantage of that room- Do they make (or sell) any kind of bracket/hook etc that will allow us to attach some plywood horizonatally above the floor and be able to store things up in that area? the tallest piece of equipment is only like 5 feet- so we have a lot of room from 5' up to top of trailer (whichI think is like 11-12') any suggestions?

Put one of these on each side of the trailer
    Slide a 2x4 as a base
Do that every 4 feet of the trailer
    Lay down plywood as needed
    Start Stacking
Don't load heavy stuff on the racks you build. keep the heavy stuff on the bottom trailer floor

thank you all- All very helpful!!! one other question since I'm finally getting somewhere- Do they make any type of cargo bar for hanging clothes across the width of trailer? The other thing we need to transport at some point is about 100 uniforms for kids on hangers....We tried boxes one year with bars but the humidity made some boxes unstable- In looking at these clips for e-track- I am wondering if I can run a 2x4 or 2x6 across the width of trailer and drill small holes all the way down and maybe the hanger hooks will stay in the holes- (who knows)- just wondering if anyone else has ideas

I would take on of those shoring bars I recommended previously and have a shop weld a bar underneath it to hang your uniforms on. That would be the most logical and stable, IMO.

You could have the welding shop class take care of that little project. A freebie.

You can use an Etrac bar and knot a rope into several circles(like a ladder). I used to haul clothing for Sears and that is how they load fashion trls.
