First and foremost, I'm a huge fan of this forum! I've been stalking it for around 2 years now gathering info here and there and decided to join a month or so ago. Well, its time for my first post I guess!

The issue at hand--1996 kenworth t600 with a Detroit 60 12.7l. I just purchased this truck friday as a backup/secondary rig. When I bought it, it had weak batteries and very little fuel, otherwise it ran and drove like a top. Sunday morning it fired up fine, went to start it Sunday evening and nothing. The batteries were dead, so I went to roll start it and still nothing. I then checked the tank to see the fuel level..it was very low, so I assumed it ran out of fuel. The next morning I put 20 gallons in it and a new set of batteries. I cranked on it for several minutes off and on to regain its prime, didn't work. Then I hit it with a little eather/wd40 combo to fire it off(I know, I don't like the idea either, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.) It will run off eather alone, and will not run by itself. I went through 2 cans doing it this method and still nothing. I really think/thought that it would regain its prime after several minutes of running on eather. I then began to question if it actually ran out of fuel, so I checked the fp, solid 20psi while cranking. I pulled the return line at the tank and fuel comes out in a fairly steady stream. I cracked the pressure line behind the head and checked pressure there, 20psi. Then I wondered if the battery issue caused an electrical problem. Checked power at the ecm on the 5 prong it- has 2 hots, just like my other truck with a Detroit. I swapped the ecm, trs, and SRS with my other truck, and it fired up. So its not any of those. I even changed out the previously jangely key switch just in case, still nothing! I've worked on this truck for the past 2 days and its getting very frustrating. Sorry for the long post! Any and all help/insight would be great. Thanks in advance.

At key-on, your Check engine and/or Stop engine light should be coming on for a bulb check. The ECM turns these on. This is a good test if the ECM is getting ignition power or not. So check for that.

the check engine light does come on, so I assume the ecm is getting power. I know its getting 12 volts to 2 wires in the five prong power harness on the ecm, the side towards the cab.

I've disconnected the line at the head and turned it over to check for air bubbles and nothing. Its getting fuel to the head, and fuel is coming out of the return line while cranking as well.

Does it try to start at all, or just crank? I'd think either clogged injectors, filters or air int he line form running out. If the engine cranks, its gotta be a fuel issue. try bleeding the fuel lines again.
