REALLY cold temperatures and I have to keep stopping the truck because the air will not build up. No leaks either. I have to pull over, shut the truck off for about 15 minutes, fire it back up and wait for almost an hour. Ran all week without this problem and has been okay for the past couple of hours.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Your govenor sounds like it's freezing up. Put your hand on the out put line from the compressor. If it's not warm to the touch it means it might be freezing up..
You will need to warm up the govenor

drain your air tanks, might have water in them, even with an air dryer it happens

There is probably some ice build up between the compressor and the dryer, start by running the engine, shut it down, remove the compressor air output hose, re start the engine, the compressor should blow out solid puffs of air, if there is air flow remove the compressor hose at the air dryer Reconnect it at the compressor. and re start the engine, if there is little or no air remove the line from the compressor and add some airbrake antifreeze, leave the end at the dryer disconnected and restart the engine and let the air push the antifreeze through the ice build up in the and thaw it. after the air flows well reconnect to the dryer and return to trucking. DO NOT put airbrake anti freeze through the dryer it can damage the desiccant load.

Took awhile but your suggestion worked. Thanks for the detailed explanation! Much appreciated. Now, can you get rid of the SNOW?
