I checked out the thread about fault codes and found flash code 66 & 67 are; Multi-Function Output #6 Open/Short Circuit (flash code 66) & Multi-Function Output #7 Open/Short Circuit (flash code 67)

What does this mean though? I have been having issues with setting my cruise control, whether I need to set cruise while driving down the road or bumping up the idle when parked. I have to wiggle the set/resume switch to get it to work.

    Thanks for any help.

Most likely bad connection on the CC switch. Check the ECM wires as well for any corrosion. Multi-function output is exactly what the name implies. It just means that the connector can be used from cruise control to jake brake to fan switch just a program setting away which is why the codes cannot tell you what the specific device is.

turns out the code has something to do with the Eaton "Top 2" feature on my trans. Turned off feature in the ecm...we'll see how it goes.

Good let me know how it goes! The Top two feature is just a semi-auto trans where it can automatically shift between two of the final gears. Its not really needed since the driver should be in control of their truck, not the computer. Did you turn the feature off with CAT ET?

Yes, well thought it was until I got to Iowa and truck coded again. There is a short somewhere in the wiring harness going to the solenoid for the "top 2" feature. I dont like or want that feature so, luckily, I ended up with a service tech @ Ziegler CAT in Altoona that actually took the time to listen to me and figured out how to bypass the solenoid. The wiring harness from ecm has been unplugged, the airlines are now the way a typical 13spd would be, and the ecm has been set to manual option 1.

Been a week and so far so good.
