Got a 2005 Columbia single axle that needs a new rear-end. Guess I'm looking at a re-man. Anybody have any recommendation of a place to take it to. I live in Kitty Hawk, NC. Northeast coast of North Carolina.

Are there any truck wrecking centre's around you!? It maybe something you want to look into. Perhaps if you could find the gears out of a newer wrecked truck, ... have them put into yours. But, it kind of depends on the pricing and availibilty on that too.

    Cheers,

Spring Suspension and Alingment Services in Chesapeake,VA

They are at 4001-C Holland Boulevard and their phone number is (757) 673 8733

Good folks and same day turn around as they keep rebuilt chunks in stock and I think they still offer a 2yr Unlimited mileage warranty

FYI-this is who Freightliner gets their rebuilt chunks from and marks them up 40%

Thanks for this info.! I had a shop quote me $4400 to install reman. My wife worked for Gregory Poole Marine out here and one of the techs there said he could do it for $200-$300 if I can find a reman somewhere. So you think I may find one there?

you might want to check on a new unit. When I thought mine was bad KW had new ones cheaper than anyone else had remans. Just a thought.
