Volvo FL6 How To ?

Just wondering if there is a way of pulling fault codes from the ECU on the FL6 (Auto) without the Volvo Computer.
We have got her home in Limp mode and wanted to see what code is coming up before calling a mechanic in case we can fix it ourselves.
