Haha how do you set up your seat? Do you ride high, looking like you're on top of the world? Or do you sit on the floor with the gangster look? Keep it isolated or do you flop around all day?

I keep mine set low, but high enough that I can see over the hood and I don't bounce off the floor. I also keep it isolated. I can't drive with my seat flopping around for anything. As always, a seat belt... I never drive without it. :biggrin_25525:

almost all the way back, almost all the way up ( better visabilty and you can feel the truck lean better) and it swings...up an down all day is boring....lol

High enough that my legs set comfortably, and close enough that I can easily reach the pedals properly. Not concerned with looking cool in the truck, especially since I am currently driving a t2000, which I don't really consider a truck anyway :)

Also, I don't use the air bag lumbar support in the seat, instead have a lumbar pillow attached to the seat that works much better. Oh yeah, I and I swing in the seat, mainly to reduce the shock of the bumps throughout the course of a long drive.

High enough the seat doesn't bottom except on extreme bumps. Low enough to remain comfortable in the knees. And all the way back, except when backing, then as far forward as needed to see out.

I keep it locked (no swing) unless I am on an extremely rough road.

I just can't do the unlocked seat. Even on a rough road. I don't know if its just these petes I have or what but it throws me everywhere and then I get mad, then the day goes in the toilet.

It might be the truck, if you are driving a 379. When I drove them, I locked the seat as well.

Far enough forward to be able to push the clutch all the way down but back enough to be able to keep my legs extended also just high enough for the seat to ride and not bottom out. Isolated with the steering wheel at a comfortable position allowing me to view all the gauges on the fly with out having to look around the wheel or column

Yeah both are 379's. One is a ext. hood and the other a shortie. I drove a few KW's, A Freightshaker Classic XL, and a handfull of Macks though and I had to lock all the seats. I guess it may just be personal preferance?

I prefer when i drive that my seat is locked, don't like to swing.. leg thighs are level, seat far enough back to push the clutch all the way in without locking my legs
