had new turbo put on about 6 months ago. the line that goes from the bottom of turbo is leaking. looks like from around where it bolts to the turbo. I was told it has a gasket & those are common replacements. going to try & replace myself. any tips so this does not leak? should I replace the entire line or just replace the gasket? is this a common part or will I need vin to get. dealer item or no ? thanks.

Shouldn't be a difficult job and only a few dollars. Just make sure you clean everything and just snug it down real good with a regular ratchet. Then you'll be good to go

It can be a little tight in there. Probably just the gasket.

Yep. The last one I did I used an extention with a wobble and put electrical tape around it so it could move but not flop all over the place

If it is a stainless line check for cracks in the line at the bends.

it is aluminum and it will easily crack. most of the gaskets for that have an ear on both ends to help you hold it as it goes together. one of the nuts is very confined, save your cussing for that one. the other is easy to get to. hope this helps, johnny
