    Hi guys,

Tripack died and now display wont even light up. Hit power button and nothing. I tried to hit the reset on the brain and it didn't seem to stay in but i think it made a click. (does it go all the way in?) I tried opening the brain and inspecting fuses. None showed visual shorts, but it may be blown without looking like it. Anyone know which fuse i should replace?

The longer version....I turned on my tripack a/c while straping my load so it would be cool to take breaks... I didn't notice at the time, but i had left my bag blocking the bed side vent that should have been blowing cold air....it ran for 2 min then died. I few min later i went in truck and screen was dead. I tried hitting reset, and thought i heard click, but it didnt go in all the way. On a maybe related note...sleeper air is now stuck on max heat. (nothing comes out of bed vent but max heat comes from floor vent if truck is on and sleeper enabled. I can turn it off in front, but if on while truck is running it is pumping out heat even with sleeper nob turned to cold and clicked on max ac. It seemed to show this symtom after tripack died, but could have been doing this all day without me relising. Sleeper didnt seem super hot, so i think it only started after tripack died. Anyone know what fuse to check? Its 90+ right now and i really want my tripack.

    Thanks

Look on the back side of your tri PAC and you will see a rubber plug, pull this plug out and behind it you will find a fuse, try replacing the fuse, this should work, but if the fuse blows again you have a short and should take it to a Thermo dealer and have them fix the short.

Mine ne did the same thing and had to replace the fuse finally had to have the short fixed and had them mount the big fuse to where I could get to it easier haven't had an issue since

    Richter Thanks this.

    Thanks Lowa,

Found it after taking all the tripack pieces off. the cap was left off and fuse coroded. leg broke off in fuse holder. Shoved a new one in there for the night, but will need to replace it asap. Hopfully they can remount it an easier spot like yours. I bet it was the kenworth dumbdonkey that couldn't get it started after he serviced it. He prob replaced the fuse but then didnt re cap it because the cap is hard to access the way its mounted. O well, atleast I have AC tonight...thanks so much. (might not after a few bumps)

Is this at all related to truck only pumping out hot air on sleeper a/c while truck running and apu off?

No, the truck ac is separate from bunk ac, if the bunk ac isn't working properly may be the cooler? That may need to be replaced, as I am understanding that there is a separate but connected cooler for the bunk and the front ac.
