Pete 379 isx 475 any opinions

    Hey guys what should I look for when am buying this truck. Its a 379 2006 isx 475 with 800k besides the normal egr stuff, anything else i should watch for ?

    Pretty much the normal stuff 379 stuff. That truck has the Namux gauge system, which has been very reliable for us, but requires Paccar ESA software to diagnose problems with the gauges. As will all 379's, make sue the hood hinge brackets are tight. If the brackets came loose and broke, they are a bugger to change. Cab air bags don't seem to last long on them either.

    Those year ISX's were not as bad an the regen ones. EGR coolers and EGR valves were an issue. Coolers crack, sometimes you can see them leak, other times they leak internally and burn the coolant. I've also seen some cams fail. I'd see if you can get it hooked up to Insite and check history. If you see a lot of counts of low coolant, check the EGR cooler closely.
