corroded aluminum cross member

    The rear most cross member on my truck is aluminum. Where it is bolted together the bolt holes have a lot of corrosion. I haul a lot of dry bulk fertilizer which is the major cause of this. I am looking for ways to minimize this situation. Thanks

    If you get it cleaned up and polished it will help the polish will protect the aluminum some but you will need to keep it cleaned and polished

    clean it up and paint it or replace it with a steel cross member
