    Hey guys,

I have a W900 2007 with a front end shimmy. It shakes so bad and for the life of me can't figure out why. Here's what I have done so far to address the issue.

    1. Replaced king pins
    2. Installed new steer tires
    3. Replaced broken or failing front end bushings.

I am at a loss here. Every time I hit 45 mph it dose what I call the death wobble. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    jiffy

Take a look at the drives too. The drives steer the front axle. The rear axles have to be parallel to each other and the front axle, square to the frame and the wheels have to be equally spaced in between the frame rails. I had the death wobble too, got all the above stuff adjusted and it is gone.

Put your truck on flat concrete and get on your knees and eyeball down the center of your drive tires front to back or back to front or hold a string at the center of your drives across both tires I bet you have gaps which means your drives axles are not parallel. This is a good place to start.

Also do you have balanced brake drums?

    Hope This helps
    Mike

A dry 5th wheel plate will cause some front end shake too.

As will ride height I've seen trucks with bent leveling valves do crazy stuff. My buddy's truck we looked it over and over and changed about everything ended up putting it on the dyno to see if it did it there without the front turning bam still there so it's in the rear, ended up being a bad slip yoke and carrier bearing just a idea

Today I am gonna pull the driveline and look at the carrier bearing. I'll try to replace the drive tires. But this exercise is getting expensive.
