02 Pete, 565 ISX. No check engine light on.

First problem. When it's cold / just started, at idle it lopes BAD. She looks like she's trying to throw the cab right off the frame. It will hunt/surge at idle until it warms up. If you hold the throttle at X RPMs, it will hunt at that RPM as well. When it warms up, it is much much better, but still hunts slightly.

    Problem 2
Rolling down the road, take my foot off the throttle, 2 seconds later the stop engine light comes on. It only used to do it above 1500 RPMs, but over a few months it started doing it at a lower and lower RPMs. Now it does it anything above idle. Oil pressure is 40, temp is good, coolant and oil are full. If you take your foot off the throttle with the Jakes on, the Jakes operate, then if you touch the throttle (not enough to kick off the jakes) the stop engine light will go off (jakes still wrapping). It won't do this when cold.

    Problem 3
Stopped. Go to accelerate. Throttle reacts 100% normal - RPMs react right away with foot feed input. Run up through the gears, all is OK. Randomly, when you roll onto the throttle, sometimes it doesn't react right away - sometimes the foot feed is halfway down before RPMs react. Then after a few gears, the foot feed operates as it should.

    Help!

When is the last time you had the Overhead ran?

The Throttle Pedal Problem sounds like a worn out Accelerator Pedal, it sounds like it's worn out and not resetting back to zero when your release the pedal. The ECM is receiving mixed signals from the Pedal Sensor so it doesn't know where the position of the Pedal is resulting in erratic engine response. That problem would also cause erratic Jake Brake operation also.

I would look at replacing the Accelerator Pedal itself, which usually comes with a new Accelerator Pedal Postioning Sensor also. It's a common wear item especially if you still have the original one installed still.

Turn the key on, engine off and apply full throttle 3 times slowly in under 5 seconds, this does a reset in the ecm for the throttle. might want to try that first.
