Looking for feedback on the Neway ADZ suspension. If you are using one I would like to know your application and anything that is working well or about any issues.

    Thanks,

    Marcus

I have the ADZ system on my T800w setup for heavy haul. 20k steer, 20k lift, 52k rears. Truck looks like it'd be a kidney killer but just the opposite, rides excellent empty and loaded.
2 years this Dec, 95k miles and no problems, smooth flat tire wear on drives so far.
previous truck, '06 Pete nearly same spec's but pete air ride, had 4yrs nearly beat me to death!!! couldn't wait to sell it.
    Neway ADZ hands down!!!

Do you know how much the adz setup costed? Was it an option on the build? Did you add it to the t800? I need to install a new suspension in my 91 western star and I'm researching cutoffs or going new with Neway .My star currently has an old neway air beam odd duck suspension they only made 2 years. Pretty problematic and very expensive to rebush. Rears are walking and it was done about 150k ago.

I do not think it is adz, but I have the 46,000 pound neway suspension on my 96 w900l and as far as I am concerned it is the suspension to have. It has been fully rebushed once, and partially once, but with over a million miles of which 3/4s or more was on the haul road, it still rides better than most cars bobtail.
They are expensive to rebush and for good reason. It is a pain, especially if you don't have the tools for the bushings.

The ADZ suspension was an added option when I ordered the truck.
    Cost $7683 additional.
Well worth it, IMO, stable suspension, great ride, and easy to work on.
Just had New neoprene bushings installed by KW just as preventative measure. Noticed upper rear dif was mushing out (crap rubber from factory). Think bill was about $1500, I’d have to go look up bill to be sure.
I’d definitely recommend for any heavy or off road use.
    Hope this helps.

Several of the guys here swapped out the 46,000 pound bags for 52,000 pound ones, and claim they ride even better. This is on both the style I have and what is available on new trucks as of 2 years ago.
I assume the adz is the new style, basically the same as mine, but a little lighter, at least it is on the new pete my neighbor bought a couple of years ago.

Interesting on the bag swap, would’ve never thought get a better ride.
I ordered the 52 rears at the time, only comparison was coming out of ‘06 Pete, 46’s with air leafs, this ADZ is so much better ride, no comparison.
Not sure about weight saving. I’m sure a bunch.
Not much more they can take off.
Wish bone on top, tracking bars on bottom, pretty simple

That is what they claim. The 52000 bags are a little bigger around, and I do know the squeeze gauge reads less pressure when bobtailing. Bobtailing, I could not tell any difference, even across the tracks, but mine rides so smooth it just is not a whole lot of room for improvement. I have both neway and air trac, one 310 wheelbase the airtrac is 305, so trucks are pretty comparable wheelbase, but the air trac is not even in the ballpark ride wise. To be fair, the air trac truck, does not have the air ride cab either though.

I got in touch with the east half of the country rep for Neway and told him I was interested in buying adz for my old star. How would I go about that? Do you offer conversation kits like Hendrickson? He goes on to tell me my trucks too old and I should probably look into pre drilled new rails setup for the adz tjrough Western Star and cut my frame then Install the new rails. My frames in good condition and I don't really want to cut it up. I guess I habenha thought about it but if I'm going to do that I may as well stretch it a bit. I really don't need to cut it. What do you guys think about what he said?
