07 Pete 379, C15 Acert with around 700,000 miles.. Can not for the life of me figure out this vibration. Happens when under load, from the lightest throttle gets louder the more load. Mostly starts vibrating around 1300 rpm more noticeable in the upper gears, can feel it in steering wheel and floorboard.. Also kind of a drone from the vibration. It has been getting progressively worse over the past 10,000 miles.

About 15,000 miles before vibration started it got new motor mounts front and back, new cab mounts and a new clutch.

Cut out test passed, #4 injector had very slightly higher fuel rate but dont think enough to cause anything.

Any help is greatly apreciated cant stand driving the truck all day anymore with the vibration.

Wouldnt say it shakes the whole truck, kinda like someone is pounding on floorboard with rubber mallet, seems to be engine speed vibration but kinda hard to tell. Same vibration also felt through steering wheel

Could restricted air filters cause symptoms like this? I change them about six months ago I drive in dusty conditions the filter gauge only ever gets to two out of 25

If you have an extra oil pan plug do a swap, looking for metal sharp hard flakes, punch the oil filter and check it for metal, Check the end play of the crank, front and back, check that the preasure plate is tight 55 ft lbs.
with an extra 3/4 inch NPT drain plug do plug swaps on the transmission and both diffs. Jack up one drive wheel on the front diff and check the "U" joints for slack, use your foot to rotate the wheel back and forth looking for movement. Put a bar in the wheel and check for a loose wheel bearing, do all 4 drive wheels when you have one back wheel up check the iner-axle "U" joints. Check the motor mounts for being tight and no junk jammed in the sides. Look at the steady bearing mount rubber if it is torn or the bearing has spun it is junk. Dampers fail very rarely, but loosen the belts off and remove it. To test drop it on its outer edge on the front tire if it rattles it is junk. When is the last time you had a valve set?
    That should keep you busy!
    Just a thought!

Could be broken Iva housing, or bolts / studs, sometimes they won't log a code.

had one the other day. had a vibration going on for 2 weeks. found the bracket for the lower turbo had broke the bolts where it bolts to the block. drilled and retapped, no more vibration. another thing could be is the damper pulley regardless of what some say it should be replaced at about 500,000 miles or so. the acerts have a higher failure rate on these because of the lower rpm range.

Thanks for all the helpful hints, all driveshafts were removed from the truck a couple days ago and u joints checked, with one needing replacement. At the same time the steady bearing was replaced. No change. I did have an acuator test done, with only #4 really performing like it should. Now I have no codes, could bad actuators really cause this problem? Valve set was done yesterday to see if it improved the actuators or vibe but made no change.

I ran the truck all day today and noticed that it vibrates first thing in the morning for the first hour of driving and seems to go away for a couple of hours then returns at the end of the day for a couple hours. I have noticed it do this other days too where it runs good in middle part of day. Temp in morning is around zero celsius and around 13 celsius at end of day.

Not sure what the actuator test numbers represent, but all were around 250 except number 4 was aroound 350
