Icc bumper bent all the way to the front , blew out each inner tire , bent 2 inner wheels . Besides the obvious damages what else should be looked at to make sure te insurance co fixes all issues w the trailer.
    Thx in advance

Well for me the rear axle will need a good going over along with the suspension for that axle and all connecting points. I would also take a close look at the kingpin apron to make sure that did not get bent.

Was that your trailer with the Werner truck parked under it?:biggrin_2559:

Pin box/plate, welds where the uprights meet the upper and lower decks, suspension mounts for back axle, back axle itself, brake gear, airbags, wiring............

I got rear ended at a dead stopped red light to turn left. The lady buried her car underneath my icc and light turned green I didnt even feel it, I looked in my mirror again there is a smashed car smoking.. Thinking to my self did I back into her on accident... Noo. I jump out check on her"expecting her to be dead" she was fine just looking for her phone pieces.. Turns out she hada suspended license car wasn't insured it wasn't hers and she was on probation..... Well her brother came the cops took a report let her go and told me to be on my way...... 2 months later call from insurance I have been dropped... For what? Sure enough it was my fault for her rear ending me... Good god how does that even happen? So after hiring a lawyer and fighting the case they cleaned it all up.. So take plenty of pics of everything you can, and make sure at all times the cop signs the written report on both copies

first of all I'd start with axle aligning measurments. Do it with meausing band and u will see what parts to inspect.

what kind of axle suspention is used? what brand is suspention (Meritor, BPW, SAF-Holland?). Are arm mounts bent, cracked? are axles bent? any noise from bearings?

the easiest thing is to fix dot bamper. I replaced my damaged DOT bumper with [-shaped cross section (schweller), fit lights and licensie plate on it...

ouh, drop deck trailers have a bit different suspention, sometimes on small 19.5" ore 17.5" wheels, may have self turning axles (tridems usually)...so I need more info about axles
