Was wondering what kind of MPG to expect out of a '96 W900L with the midroof studio sleeper. The truck has a Cummins N14 redtop 475hp, 15 speed transmission and 3.55 rears on 24.5lp tires. Would be pulling normal spread axle flatbad with no load over 40k. The engine was rebuilt 140k ago.

Specs look good - but what speed do you like to drive?
Can you pull an ECM report for the last 140k - showing fuel economy? -
Probably keep it around 60-65 mostly. Already drive easy chasing the fuel bonuses as a company driver. I honestly didn't think that an ecm from that era could store that info. Will go see if they can do that.

Just ran a DDEC4 Ecm today - 2000 model truck. Not sure if you can get lifetime on that year - worth asking. You can learn a lot on how the truck has been driven by the report.

Hi flatbed, no such thing as fuel economy with a semi. "Just put that hammer down, and give 'er heck". Just kidding, I drove a Freightliner with a 500 Detroit, 13, and 3.55's, and regularly, was in the 7's (low 7's). That was pulling a van, so you might do a little better with a flatbed.
