I would like to build a pulling engine for the truck rodeo in Quebec, the rules for the b class is a 16 liter 6.75 stroke and 5.5 bore. One injector per cylinder. I Have a turbo and ecm that fits the rules. Just need some ideas for porting and camshaft. It will need to be around 1750 hp and 4200 ft lbs of torque. The ecm I have will allow 3,500 rpms. I went up to Quebec and watched this year and it's the coolest thing ever, all French canadians no American trucks there.

You probably not going to find your answers here anymore.....
But I do agree they got quite a show up there.... -
I just became a member thought I could get some advice on here. I have some ideas but I want to be competitive up there. I asked a few of the Canadians up there but they keep everything a secret!

Most of the heavy hitters hp wise have left the site.... Decisions about hp mods don't happen here any more. Very sad.......
Doesn't surprise me that everything is a top secret up there... My guess would be to start at dieselspec in Montreal ..? -
The rules of the forum don't allow it?
Cat sdp Thanks this. -
I've talked to Ian from there a couple times. He is getting me close but said I'll have to figure out on my own how to get up to the 1,700 hp range to be competitive. He'll tell me what I need to get to around 1,500 hp but that will just be a field filler

You need to get inside a tractor pullers head or talk to some of the CAT engine builders. Plus, have a couple of standby engines incase you blow up the first one.

Never thought of asking tractor pulling guys, are there cat powered pulling tractors out there?

Talk to Riverside Engines in Tiffin, OH. Phil builds a lot of the motors for the top running NTPA, Lucas Oil PPL, and OSTPA pullers. He can handle taking care of helping you in the rotating assembly and then Columbus Diesel Supply in Columbus, OH or Schied Diesel in Terra Haute, IN can take care of the air and fuel sides. All the shops will probably want to go with mechanical pumps instead of the electronics. I could tell you places to look for the electronic side, but I would probably get the banned hammer dropped on me. Good luck and keep us update...your doing something that is on my bucket list.
