HHO im guessing, if it is he'll be rebuilding that pretty soon.

 

Looks like one of those HHO kits. It's supposed to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen and improve combustion and fuel economy. Just google hho generators and you will get all the info you need on it. Does it work? Who knows. Some swear by it, some say it's snake oil.

 

I'm wanting to try a HHO kit on my pick up. HHO may help, but it takes a bunch of amperage on a 12v system to produce enough hydrogen to make it worth the trouble.

 

Checking out the video it appears to be a water injection kit probaly similar to a snow water/methanol kit.. They help keep egts lower on a high performance diesel with marginal economy gains on smaller diesels I doubt they would do much on a big diesel though .. Never in a millon years would it improve milage by 27% as claimed

According to their website, it is not the "break down of water into hydrogen and oxygen" snake oil scheme this time. It is the steam will "clean the carbon deposits" snake oil that is being touted.
