Does it work? Id say on average a good working apu should be worth at least 2k or so. Stop at a TK dealer and have them give it an inspection and thy can tell you how many hrs it has and what kind of shape its in. Might also add some value to it if you have inspection done and have the paper work on it for prospective buyers. Good luck

goin to look at the truck next week but I think his price is kinda high. 04 379 with c15 475 hp 18sp 63" sleeper 575000 miles apu pretty clean but its still a 10 year old truck. guess well give it a good checking over and see what we think.

Old APU's don't add any real value to a used truck. They are just as worn out as the rest of the unit. A friend bought a 2006 Columbia in 2012 with a Rig Disaster on it since new. He spent more money on the APU in the 2 years he had the tractor than anything else on it.

The value of anything is only in relation to what one is willing to pay the other party for it. In my case, irregardless of brand, a APU on a truck has absolutely no bearing in what I am willing to pay for it. To another, it might make a difference. My motivation is solely on the specs of the truck and if it the setup is best for what I need a truck for.

to be honest APU are nice but over priced.. A lot of O/O are running Honda generators on the back and have an AC unit with heat and power plugs. They fill it up every day or other day with a small gas can.. Most i hear is that they last about 2-3 years. I'm thinking about getting that instead of this APU fixed its got like 12k Hours on it.
