I know Pittsburgh Power mufflers are the same thing as donaldson. Claimed to gain 50 hp and .5 mpg.

If you can gain that much HP out of a simple muffler what would a header type of exhaust manifold do?

Is there any manufactures out there that make one?

I haven't try it yet. That's what pittsburgh power said. That type of muffler is high flow or free flow muffler. It Reduces backpressure than any stock muffller.

I use Walker Megaflo's which are essentially the same high flow as the PP or Donaldson high flows.

Are these mufflers obscenely loud or just a nice aggressive tone?

Polished and coated, PDI, Bully Dog, Pittsburgh Power, they help put one on when yours burns out the center section.

The Donaldsons are actually not loud at all, even under the jake. Nice mellow tone. I run them because I have to go into neighborhoods and like the truck quiet but still need the performance.

I agree with the .5 mpg increase, I didn't notice a hp increase, unless the mufflers you had on before were plugged up.

I would be more happy for turbo change to non waste, polished manifold, and walkers muffler like cowpies. It's christmas wish. Merry Christmas!
