Got a Detroit 60 that sputters with black smoke puffing from stacks when going up hills. Replaced EGR & Vpod but still doing same thing. Yellow CEL come on in the morning for a view minutes. Delta sensor gets clog quite a bit Any thoughts?? Thanks...

Was the vpod calibrated when it was installed?

Check that delta p and the lines that go to your egr, they may be dirty and clogged up. Its an easy fix and it should run you 180 dollars with new fittings and everything! Good luck, keep us informed what happens

possibly the turbo going out? lots of movement with the impeller? any oil on the turbo side of the engine or on the turbo? just a thought.

Thanks for the advice Turns out the platform that the Delta P sits on was cracked -- discovered this on my own with your advice. No thanks to those dumbasd freightliner Mechanic Thanks again!!!

Cost only $26 for the platform of the delta P

I finally found out the problem The last one that the Delta P on was cracked. $26 for the part. It took me only 30 minutes to replace it. Thanks
