Hello everyone. I've got a 2012 volvo ishift with D13 engine half year ago, three months after purchase truck started to vibrating pretty bad I went to the volvo dealer and they told me that all injectors needs to be replaced, fortunately warranty covered it, vibration gone after that, but fuel consumption went up, now truck makes around 5 mpg, never goes over 6 mpg, what could it be? May be they forgot to adjust valves after putting new injectors or something wrong with injectors calibration? Have no idea what's wrong with that truck. Thanks in advance

View attachment 79833 Here is a picture, it takes more than a gallon per hour even while it's idling, don't pay attention to check engine light

Had same problem,same year,same engine.
Dealer replaced all injectors and cups under warranty.
Problem was gone for a while but came back.
Sometimes while going uphil and while truck shakes there would be CHECK light saying check fuel filter, while filter is fine.
Then i got CHECK ENGINE light, code said something about turbo boost sensor.
Before that another problem showed up,it takes 15-20 seconds to start the truck. I have to press gas pedal few times in order to start the truck.
Fuel pump is replaced, also the boost sensor.
Wnenever truck shakes, there is loss of power.
Just came back from tx with 15000lbs and it had hard time getting up to 65mph.
Mpg was 5.3
Dont know what to do -
Did your fuel consumption increased after injectors were replaced?

I hate Volvo engine, so much money spend on it already.

I think it was same. It wasn't that good anyway since company got the truck 6-7 months ago.
It always around 6.2-6.5,but i have apu,i dont pull heavy and i dont drive very fast,64-65,so i think it should be better. And wherever i go there's head wind always,so i dont know.
I found lot of people had similar problem, but nobody posted what is the fix. -
I have APU also, and I'm not pulling heavy. I was reading that other D13 engines makes up to 9 mpg, so my 5.5 obviously not normal
-
Yup,everybody is saying that d13 is good on fuel. Yet to see that.

wouldnt it be as easy as plugging it in an see what the check engine light is on for or have it run on a dino

There is no check lights on now. Shop replaced fuel pump and boost sensor and cleared the codes. Nothing came on since then,no active codes
