What would cause this? When accelerating, truck is governed at 65 MPH. While accelerating up to top speed, at 60 MPH computer kills the throttle and boost quits, it waits a few seconds then power will return.

Scenario two, you're doing 65 MPH on flat land and you hit a hill. The throttle is non responsive, it takes about 5 seconds and power comes back in increments of 20%, then 40%, then 50%. Normally, a similar truck with same specs/engine will boost instantly once it hits 64 MPH to resume the 65 MPH set speed.

I've driven two trucks like this, one was a brand new 2015 Cascadia with a DD15 and a 10 speed. This one I'm having trouble with is a 2010 Columbia with EPA '07 DD15. There has to be something in the ECM, some kind of eco-friendly setting. But what? Where?

This truck does not have progressive shifting, over rev protection, or RPM limiting in any gear. SO it has nothing to do with that.

I can't help you but the 09 cascadia I'm driving has a series 60 and it does the same thing periodically. Does yours also have crazy throttle surge when you're real light on the throttle? Mine seems to do both at the same time but then it will be fine for a while and do neither.

I've been having the same problem. It's like the is some serious lag in the computer or something.
Cruise at 60 and bump it to 65 for a hill and it will wait till 57 before it decides to speed up. :tard: tapping the throttle won't even help.

sometimes when downshifting the rpms will stop at 1300 for a second then drop off and then come back up. Or using the pedal while the cruise is on will just kill all throttle and the turbo will drop during the transition.

I've been to half a dozen Fl shops and they don't know what's wrong. It won't give them a code so they just tell me there is nothing they can do... What a joke.

I recently had the speed parameters changed and the problem went away for a short time, less than 200 miles, then it was back. And it's gutless in the hills and gets worse the longer you drive. the power loss seems to be more pronounced after 5 hours of driving.

    krstevalek Thanks this.

It's really bad what ever it is. No codes either. This only happen in 10th gear at 60 and above. Like clock work. What a chore to pass a 62 MPH truck in a 65 mph truck when it pulls this stuff.

Mine truck is doing same thing. It started when it was cold, I thought it was because of fuel gelling up, but it happened just now at 25+, I can even get up to 70 and I am governed at 65, but then it just drops back to 60. Also Cruise and jake don't work, it's a cascadia 2012.

Another idea for the O.P.: Check the fuel pressure at the pump on the back of the air compressor. I had a series 60 w/ that problem, don't know if a DD15 is the same. If you aren't throwing codes, look for something mechanical.....

My truck was also in the shop for regen problems. Maybe regen, jake and cruise all tied together somehow. Weirdly enough, I woke up drove back to terminal and it's running fine.

I just got done with two more Freightliner guys and they said it would be like chasing a ghost to find out what's wrong as there are no codes or errors...

I'll try disabling the soft cruise next time and see what happens, it will be a while.
