Has anyone had any experience with United Pacific LED Headlights 31297 or Truck Lite LED Headlights 27450c ? (plug & play that replaces H6054 hi/lo beam, I have seen some reviews on Truck Lite but were only on ones that have been used in Jeeps, I like the looks of the UP's better as my front end is mostly chrome, and the Truck Lites have a black bad in the middle. But mainly looking for the ones that put out the most light & prefer hearing from other trucker that has used them, I travel down 2 lane roads that are very dark & just got my truck back from a deer ramming the side of it resulting in almost 9,000 in damage, so feel free to reply, but they must be a hot item as the UP's I hear sell out as fast as they come in.

I put the GE nighthawk led's.in my international which are a trucklite brand in a different box. This was money well spent. I bought mine off eBay.

Thanks seems that the truck lites are the ones that have been out there for awhile now, I just wonder what the lumens are rated on the low/high side of the truck lites ?

I just made a phone call to Truck Lite, I talked with a tech and she told me 540 low & 1000 lumens on high, was told by United Pacific that there low is 950 & high is 1800 lumens, looks like a very big difference, but would still like to hear from truckers that have used these products, as we all know LED's are here to stay and I'm sure it won't be long and the standard headlights will soon be phased out .

THAT is one bright light, considering, The Appalachians and Arkansas are 800 or so miles apart. Just sayin'. :biggrin_2556:

I have a 500 lumen flashlight that can cause retina burn.

What is the lumen rating allowed by DOT on these? I would guess Trucklite is at legal max and the Asian brand is over-rated or illegal.

Can't go by old incandescent wattage ratings for LEDs.

And guys make sure you adjust your new lights properly. I seen too many Texas pickup trucks with those blue painted high watt bulbs lighting up the tops of trailer doors. And those buffoons think the new light is so great. No it's just aimed up higher you Jassack!
