Been looking all day and couldn't find a answer. Here goes. I'm getting ready to purchase a truck from a owner op and it has a two line wet kit with a tank and etc.... I wanted to know how difficult would it be to remove all that stuff because I won't need it. I'll be pulling a flatbed so I'll need to put a headache rack where the hoses and tank is at. Thanks for any input.

The tank and the lines should be fairly easy. The PTO... I'd need to see some photos.. there's a couple different setups.

You wouldn't have tonecessarily pull the pto itself. You could just pull everything else, and cap the ports to keep trash out of the pump. Air line too, so no inadvertent engagements. Biggest issue is most installations use one of the lower pto mounts, and removal means dropping the lube out of the gearbox. But it's just a matter of getting a gasket and cover plate and refilling the lube.

    Cetane+ and TaylorMade407 Thank this.

If you don't need it, that stuff is simple to remove. You will need to locate a cover for the trans once the pto is removed. Shouldn't be hard to find a cover since every transmission comes with them and everyone who has added a pto has removed them.

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

should not take long to take it all off. unbolt the pto get a block off plate/gasket bolt the plate on take the hoses and fittings off un bolt the tank done. a lot easier to take off than to put on

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

KEEP THE WET KIT INTACT. you can make more money by having a truck that can pull anything.the two line deal is for pulling an end dump, low speed, and walking floors which is the high speed line.why limit your income? the weight of the kit is not so much that you need to extricate the system just because you think that you will not ever use it. i have a two line on mine and it is the ticket to staying rolling when others aren't moving.

shop around for a headache rack that will fit over the tank and pull detachable necks, end dumps, walking floors, whatever. imho, you will be messing by removing the wet kit.

    merely my 2 cents-

    That is not true!

A 2 line wet line is a wetline with a return, unless it has a high pressure switch to raise the pressure to run a walking floor it might move it but if the load is heavy it will fail in walking the load off.
Or its just a high pressure wetline without a lever to open and release the fluid.
The only way a wetline can operate a dump trailer and walking floor trailer is to have a 3 line wetline, or as i have a 2 line wetline with a button to raise the pressure to operate the walking floor, i have a genesis with the button to raise the pressure.
Walking floor trailers require 2850 psi, a normal pump has around 1850 psi.
