You'll be the slowest Pete around. Even slower than TMC I bet.

    What part of the country?
    What rear gear?
    How heavy?

Since 2007 I've been running a '98 370/400 M11 in a T800 with a 13, 22.5 LP rubber and a 4.33 rear gear. It needs all of that rear gear to haul 80,000+ in the Adirondacks and the Poconos. You won't be the first to arrive. Fuel mileage is pretty good if you can stay at 60 mph....I'm getting 6 on winter blend....7 in the summer. Oil leaks at the front accessory drive cover and at the pass through connector at the back of the head and at the oil pan and at the compressor mount.

Only real problem was it had a sunken liner when we bought it and it took three head gaskets and two heads before we found the right mechanic.

There's worse engines. Still beats a ACERT or a DPF or a DEF IMO.

M11 is a great "little" motor, they are only 10.8 litre's, they were never meant to be spec'd for constant 80,000 use, at least not at highway speeds.

We had a whole fleet of them that ALL went over a million before rebuilds, They were the best fuel mileage motors I have ever owned, another plus is anybody can work on them and you can almost buy parts for them at Wal-Mart.

Right now I am running a 2010 ISM 425/1550 in my Pete with an airplane like high gear of 2.30, BUT we only haul up to 54,000 and at that weight I can run with just about anyone.

we still have a '95 FLD112 with a M11 and super 10. We bought it with 650k on it and now it has around 1.2 million on it and the only thing we've done to it are a couple of injectors, rods/mains at 900k, air compressor, and radiator. It's been regulated to local grain hauling for the last few years but before that we pulled a bullrack with it and it was consistently loaded heavy. It wouldn't win any races but it was reliable. Also, the truck is turned up a bit, previous owner thought he had set it at 425 but wasn't sure.

Last truck I has was a 06 binder with a 425 M11. That's the max hp for that engine. Just a few small probs like valve cover gasket, compressor, Horton fan clutch and typical binder electrical stuff otherwise good stuff.

Not the toughest kid on the block but it came to work everyday and yanked my tank. Been perfect with more gears and steeper rears.

I have a 98 kw with an m11 in it. I am having overheating issues hauling anything over 40k or #### near anything up hills. Have already has the radiator blown out and the thermostat replaced. Guy at shop said the radiator is rotting on the inside but still operational. Temps are getting up to between 200-215 with the shut off buzzer going off around 195. Do you think I should invest in a new radiator or could I have wiring issues with the gauges? Side note, I noticed the other day when I was doing an equipment check after having thermostat replaced, I turned on lights to check the trailer and when I got back in the truck the temp was at almost 200 idling, but when I turned off the lights the temp went back to 185 immediately, turned lights back on, jumped right back to 200. Any thoughts?

Shoot the block in a few spots with an IR temp. gun. and see how it stacks up. If you wanna see if the rad is working, shoot the upper and lower rad hoses and see if there's a difference in temperatures.

Almost sounds like a bad cab ground, trying to ground through the gauge.
