    I've got 2012 Volvo with D13 engine and Ishift, my fuel economy really bad. Truck ,makes less than 5 mpg, even while it's idling it takes more than a 1 gph. I did't find any air cooler leaks. I replaced turbo boost sensor, old one was really dirty and no changes. So now I thing my poor fuel mileage because of EGR problem. There is a code on my dashboard SA 0 SPN 411 FMI 8 I can't find what that means. Any thought? Or can someone help me to find what that code means?

    I have 1,433,000 miles on original Volvo D13/2008 still getting 7.5-8 mpg with all this cold weather in Ontario pulling dry van , 62mph,average weight loads;
    are you pulling heavy? cold weather? mountains, driving fast? I had problems with both EGR and diff pressure sensor, could be the problem; I would replace the differential pressure sensor first; you can do it yourself; about 120$;

    Just replaced Differential pressure sensor today as you advised. Did you have bad fuel mileage because of that sensor?

    no, but when goes bad/codes , usually clogged with egr shots derates the motor 20-30% , maybe on your 2012 model with DEF works on different software; I'm happy with this motor, not perfect but every year my real average was around 8 mpg;
