I'm not an owner/operator but have been told I'll be paid to fix this if I can so I'm looking for ideas. I drive for Swift Intermodel out of Charlotte. We are only around 12 drivers here and a lot of us were recently issued 2015 Volvo's. Not day cabs but with a small sleeper. 5-6 times now the harness with the spring holding the air lines/umbilical have pulled the blue gladhand off the chassis. Once it pulled the red while I was docking. A co-worker had it pull both while turning on a street. I had the truck in the dealership and they lowered the spring to the bar in the middle of the cab. Today that resulted in ripping out the airlines and umbilical from the chassis, ripping out the plug-in on the chassis also when I was backing into a dock. The fix let the lines go too low and snagged on a bolt on the frame of the tractor. Any idea's on a real fix? Everyone who has been issued these trucks have this problem.
What I've tried-
Bungee from harness to catwalk. This works, for awhile but bungee wears out. Not a permanent option or reliable.
Dealer moved spring to middle bar on back of the cab to the middle one. After today I moved it back to the top so the original problem remains.
I ask because we work out of a drop yard, nearest terminal is 90 miles away and very busy so unlikely to get any solution in a day. Has anyone had this problem or any suggestions?

Duct tape and a big hammer fixes most problems. Tried that?
Seriously though, upload a picture or two of your setup. Maybe someone here can "see" what the problem is and come up with a solution. Otherwise, were all using our imaginations and that could lead to trouble. Especially on a Friday night when some of us have our brains on Beer and hooters (yeah! I'm referring to the restaurant!). -
I would take a hammer and bend the holders in slightly so they will grip better

Even though the dealer says you have the long ones, they do make them longer than either 12 or 15 feet, with a wire coiled section up to an additional 48 inches.

I've taken off the spare which adds a little, I noticed it was catching on the tire. Maybe that's the problem. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow though not sure how to transfer the image to here.
