Possibly going to buy a walking floor trailer this year, is one brand better than another? Any info would be appreciated.

Can't say who is better, as I've only used two brands.....Temisko and Titan. They pretty much all use Keith floors as far as I know.

I like the aluminum Titan....and with the heavy duty Vee-floor and cleanout blade you can pretty much haul anything. Besides chips and bark I have hauled logs, slabs and aggregates in mine. But if you are in cold climates make sure you get a liner or calcium tank, or be prepared to shovel the nose and sides off.

The Fiberglass coated wood Temisko was nice in the winter. Stuff doesn't freeze in them as bad, but they are heavier than the aluminum trailers and not quite as strong for loading stuff like logs or scrap.

I've looked at MAC and Stargate and have friends using them. They seem good so far.

You need to be specific about what the trailer is intended to be used for. You don't need info on an East unloader (a trash trailer) if you really need a thin skinned trailer. You will get better info if we know what you will be hauling.

99% of the loads would be wood chips to the local ethenal plant & an occasional load of palletized livestock feed.

Here in se GA. Dorsey is kicking but with their floor. I think it has a lot to do with the dealership in the area. There are many older Peerless trailers here as well. Some are heavy but they are well built. A good size local quality carrier is going with ITI. If you want a sharp looking trailer some manufacturers can do a nice job of dressing them up. I have a Keith UHMW floor. It is light, expensive, way outlasts aluminum but has its drawbacks. I don't know that Keith or Hallco is any better than the other. I can give you some pointers but I can't endorse one trailer over another. If you pm me contact info I would let you call me and pick my brain.

Telling you if you want a durable trailer that will last east unloader if you want to save a little weight instead you'll pay for it in the long run although wood chips shouldnt beat the trailer too bad but if you want quality east is it.

In Ontario most run Titans, I have a Manac that seems to be working well. Its and '07 aluminum, I haul wood chips, scrap wood, scrap metal, crushed cars, aluminum turnings......my boss runs a lot of garbage. They have lasted really well.

The Titans hold their value quite well.

Thanks for all the info, still crunching the numbers to see if I can make this haul work. I've also thought about using a belt trailer for hauling wood chips, just not sure if I can get enough weight in the trailer.
