Hankook has these new drive tires that are real close to the XDN2. They're $500 each if I buy 8 compared to $619 for the Michelins. Does anyone have experience with Hankook's? Can you get decent miles out of them? If I can keep my tire cost at .02-.03 per mile over the life of the tire I'm a happy camper. So I'd be shooting to get 200k out of these.

Hmm.. here i can get 275/80R22.5 XDN2 for $516 under our national account our price. brand new.

    275/80R22.5 $491.04 +$25.23fet

We make money on mount dismount. We rather our guys run quality tires than charge extra and nickel and dime.

I don't get national account pricing and with the amount of gravel I run I'm not willing to pay full price for Michelin's.

Run caps on your drives and save even more.

I have Hankook DL07 on my rear drive axle. They wear like steel. Almost 400k on them now and expect another 100k before I replace them.

To be honest, I am at a loss. I rate Hankook right there with Double Coin and Kelly tires. I have some Yoko 517's on my front drive and with roughly 90k on them,.. I can already tell they will not go the distance that the DL07's have.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not expecting to get a bunch of miles out of them if I try them. I know what I do and I shoot for 200k out of my drives.

The experiment begins. I stopped yesterday to get my truck serviced and ended up putting 8 of these on. We talked about them and he said they were willing to deal to get some out running and I'd be a good candidate since that's where I service my truck. So they bought my 8 drives that had 127k on them for $150 each and knocked the price down to $475 a tire including FET.

They know me and know I watch my tires. If they develop irregular wear or I don't think I'm getting the miles out of them they will buy them back at a prorated price based on tread depth. I'll update here as I get some miles on them.

I put a set of the Hankooks that resemble Bridgestone 726ELs on my dad's truck and so far they are wearing good. They only have around 30k on them but no uneven wear yet. He did say they took longer than other tires to settle down and they hold rocks bad, but that's to be expected with the design. and running gravel.

As of today, 62146 miles on them. 22/32 of tread left on all of them. There are no signs of irregular wear and they were rotated in an X pattern with 22000 on them. So far so good. And they did take a while to settle down.

Ran a set of the Hankook DL11 tires just took them off at 178,000 miles with 5/32nds tread left. Kept them properly aired and rotated in an X-pattern every 50,000miles they wore nice and even with no irregular wear. My opertaion is regional with lots of scrubbing so im happy to get 200,000 out of my drives. No one near me stocks Hankook so I didnt go with them again.
