Hey guys, my T6 has a 4 row core radiator. I changed out the core, the top and bottom tanks were reused. I changed the one and only thermostat and the temp sending unit next to the stat and the wiring harness plug end going to the sending unit. I have not changed the sending unit in the coolant crossover.

When pulling a descent grade going out to Seattle, and now heading to Cedar Rapids,IA, I just normally turn the fan on at the bottom of the pull. Guage only hits right around 220°, but it'll go higher and eventually want to shut down if i don't have already have the fan on. So I have just been in the habit of turning the fan on. Once I'm at the top, it drops back down fairly quickly. Obviously, this isn't right. Called a dealer, and of course he said the need to see it. Is it possible that the water pump (not weeping) is failing? Could the impeller be defective? It's only May and while I'm used to this, it's only gonna get worse. Should I try switching out the crossover sending unit?

    Thanks in advance

I just pulled out of the North Platte, NE scale. rolling through the gears, not racing, it hit 205°

Have you checked the air to air,if your not moving enough air,it will run hot.

Air through the fins or air through the cooler?

I have the same problem 06 isx and was thinking that the water pump is some how getting weak. I cant find any other issue as the rad is brand new and was told that if the spring in the thermastat was weak or broken it would be stuck open . Hope someone has a answer. I hate going to the dealer as I CAN THROW MY MONEY AT IT JUST AS EASY AS THEY SEEM TOO.

Charge air cooler. Do you have a pyro gauge? If so what is the temp in a hard pull? How much boost are you seeing? If you have a leak in the air to air, your not moving enough air through the motor. With all you've replaced, that's where I'd start looking. Next would be plugged oil cooler.

If the oil cooler was pluged would the oil temp go up as it seem to be staying cooler than the engine coolant?

Yes oil temp would go up. Pretty much same as if radiator was stopped up. Not moving enough volume.

I would start looking at the Head Gasket as a possible culprit in why your engine is starting to overheat.

No Pyro gauge. My boost can and does hit 45 psi. I'm not allowed to say why, though. Lol. I've changed out all 4 of those silicone tubes a while back. Maybe I should recheck them. The metal pipe going to the intake elbow was dented (either by the prior owner, or prior mechanic, but once I discovered it, I hammered it back mostly round again. I have roughly 600K on a inframe from kenworth in Perrysburg, Ohio. I think I'm gonna try flushing out my cooling system also. Couldn't hurt.

Pull air to air away from RAD. and look at trash that is on FT. side of rad. behind air to air, as long as you have it off ck. for leaks after you clean a/c conn.also is mounted so close to rad that dirt gets stuck behind it and in front of rad.
