Well finally got to see the new to us truck painted, frame still yet to be done but next week should be ready to bring home and the only bad part of all this is gotta pay for it all, lol. We put a new polished visor on the cab and hood although its not seen here yet, ended up putting original Kenworth cleaance lights on the cab and got to thinking it would look much prettier with some nice polished air horns up there instead of under the cab, i never realized that they were even there as with the big wind deflector we had on the cab top it was never noticed. What do youall think, new air horns on the top? What type, style and size would be needed, how much are they going to run? I have a picture i will try and post too, let me hear what you all think and thanks again.

LOVE that color of blue !!!
Chrome horns would work well with that color....and the louder the better.

That is a nice blue. What brand/color is it? My old blue needs a paintjob bad. Mind if I ask what it cost ya?

I say go for the horns, if you'r not concerned with the aerodynamics.

Its actually a Freightliner factory blue, if you would like I will get the paint codes for you and let you know. Actually the guy painting it for us is quite reasonable, frame sandblast, one coat of primer and color of your choice he charges $1000.00 Canadian and then for the cab he charges between $2000.00 and $3000.00, he charged us $2000.00 and that included fixing a crack in the hood right by the grill. We are definately going to be into more as he removed the cab mounted wind deflector and mirrors on the hood, installing the polished visor and rewired for the cab roof lights, he actually gave us those as he buys up parts from dealers around and also does work for Pete and KW dealers so this is how he gets many parts, got us a brand new windshield wiper motor and assembly for $250.00 installed and still keep the old one, nothing wrong with old one but he said they can give problems down the road so why not for the money. We had a new windshield on drivers side installed and he made new mounts for those deflectors on rear sides of cab, from the factory they use steel mounts on aluminum side shields and it rots the aluminum, those were $300.00 per side, they are going to polish all wheels and one wetline tank and paint any and all miscellanous parts and install 2 way radio and antenna and many new lights that look a little shabby too, sooooooo i am guessing in the $5000.00 to $6000.00 range, will let you know when its done and paid. I still think he is fairly reasonable, what do you all think?

ya it does look good. It's allot of money but you had allot of work done. The breakdown is good. Don't worry about the paint code I think I'm going to paint my truck to match my jeep.
