Webasto Bunk Heater Auxillary Heater Issues

hey on the volvo the lecm control panel it what controls the webasto , temp, fan ,etc , it's possable that it is going out , i have been a volvo tech for dealer for over 10 years , go have it checked out

 

here is some info for the webasto

 

if your webasco is cutting off and on ,you need to check to make sure that there is not any thing blocking it , when they do that , that means it over heating , see attachments

 

I got a volvo 780 with a webasto in it, if you go to the bunk heater/AC control module and press heat then press set you'll see in the display the word cycl and if press set again it will read auto.when you are in cycle star pressing the +/- button and will set the time that is going to cycle on and off. Auto mode let you set the thing to start at the time you wish, like if you are going to star driving at 6 o'clock you set it at 5 and the truck will be warm when you get there. Becareful that you don't have anything in front of the outlet other wise you are going to have a nice little fire going on. In my volvo with good batteries this things runs for 10 hours without a problem, I don't know about the volvo 670 but in mine the batteries are protected so no matter what it is left running inside the cab when the batteries reach 12,3 volts the system disconect two so you can still start the truck. I had a Volvo 670, and struggled with the Webasto for months until some kind soul here on the board explained this to me. I think I finally settled on 7on/7off for the best results, for me.

Now, however, I have a Pete, and the Webasto controls are MUCH better--basically you just turn a knob to your preferred temperature (you have to determine this by a little trial and error), and it cycles on and off all by it's lonesome. Want it cooler, just turn it down, hotter just turn it up.

 

man o man, some of you guys must have alot of free time. To go back and find a thread that had been dormant for over a year and add a comment. Why not just start a new one.

 

If there is a separate knob labeled, then by turning it up halfway is not too bad idea...........
