Yesterday I discovered that the coolant level sensor is missing on my truck. I know where it's supposed to be...but it's not there. The hole has a rusty ol' plug in it, obviously not oem.
I can't find a connector or even wires that may have been cut. Does anyone know which harness they are supposed to come out of and what color they are on a W900L?

Mine's a 99 with a Cat also. It has the light in the alarm panel. My 02 had it also.
I called the dealer with my serial number and they said it's supposed to have the sensor. -

Yeah, I'm sure it's there somewhere. I'm just not sure if it's supposed to come out the engine or chassis harness.
This truck was butchered by bad drivers at one point. That's why the last owner sold it. I know they didn't put oil in the motor (that the last owner paid for) and ended up throwing a rod so it wouldn't surprize me if the sensor went out at one point and they took it out, plugged the hole, and cut the connector off...and got paid to replace it. -

Some have em some dont, mine doesent and it has the light in the panel. The rusty plug is factory, a lot of CATs dont have these, both my Petes didnt, my dads doesent, and my KW doesent either. The fact that you cant find the wires for it means it never had one installed.

On Aus Kenworths the coolant level sensor has four wires going from the sensor to the oem Harness on the engine ecm (the rear most plug) but yours may be different.
