    I have always liked b model macks,I currently have 79 359 pete ,big cam 4 400hp 13 spd, 84 Int 9670 , 74 int 4350 318 detroit 13 speed daycab ,2 ltl fords Giveme an old truck anyday!!

    When someone mentions classic 18 wheelers, my first idea is Pete 379...and then 362 COE (and then that Freightliner COE...FLT or something). But somehow, W900 is still my favourite....

    The Pete 362 is a nice looking rig and even though I don't like COE trucks, that's one that I even like

    One of my early jobs had all COE Kenworths and only a few COE Petes.
    It was considered a promotion to get one of the Petes since they were faster and rode better. They had 290 Cummins and leaf springs.
    The KWs had the V903 Cummins. Non turbo 280 HP, and rough riding torsion bar suspension.

    I almost bought a Ford this summer when I had the money and was gonna get my CDL, however the Ford pickup that I had was getting to the point where it got to costing too much to maintain so I had to trade it in and that took all my funds

    I'm partial to cabovers. You just don't see many anymore (for obvious reasons). However, they had their place, and are still superior in some applications. My favorite was the Peterbilt 352. Hated to have to sell my '80 model, but it was damaged with a crumpled doghouse when one of my ex-drivers decided to jack up the cab without releasing the safety catch; and I was offered much more money than it was worth. It was never properly repaired, but still makes me do a doubletake everytime I see it rolling down the highway. I however, don't miss the centerpoint steering doing city/subdivision deliveries. It wasn't all that bad, but it wasn't power steering either.

    If I could run anything I wanted, one of these International 9370's would be it.



    As far as newer models the 9900ix is gorgeous except for the white face gauges.

    I like most trucks but the serious aero trucks turn me off. Late model Volvos and that new Cascadia. I figure a lot of common trucks like a 9200 International can get 7-8mpg loaded, there's no real sense in trying to get better. Heck, my '88 Suburban with a 454 only gets 9-11mpg, if you can get 7 out of a semi, you're doing pretty good!

    So what's the height of floor in 352? Was that a H model or ordinary?

    I don't recall the floor height, but I do know it was not the "H" model.
