    Volvo I-Shift only, no manual option. Same with earlier 660. If you want single drive axle it must be hub-reduction type.

    I remember when Cummins came out with the Signature 600. I wonder if Cummins has an answer to this...as far as the horsepower. Its been my experiance that Volvo can't keep them D16's together.

    dont know how he behave in NA,but in EU D16 is a reliable engine in general ,of course sometimes with problems,but what engine dont have them these days?

    Looks like Volvo and Mack are going to take the top spots on highest torque/HP motors. Who would have thought that?

    Being that CAT is exiting the market and it does not surprise me. I have spot in my heart for volvo as they produce some good products that could have saved my family $$$$$.

    I second that thought. I well trained driver can make almost any transmission survive behind a high hp/torque motor. They are only putting a auto there cause of warrenty issues.
