Over the past few weeks noticed the batteries not holding a charge like they used to, but nothing a quick jump couldn't fix. Today, it won't turn over, dash lights up and tranny (auto) console beep
s turn key and nothing happens just some clicking noises from the fuse pannel. Its a 2000 century.

Make sure you do have fully charged batteries. This has been a brutal winter for batteries and once they go dead in a truck that is pretty much it and you are looking at a new set. Sometimes when you have bad or weak batteries and you have to get the truck boosted a few times the current and voltage to the starter solenoid isn't the greatest and the contact disk and points in the solenoid will arch and destroy the electrical contact surfaces. Have a friend try to start the engine, while holding your hand on the starter solenoid. If you can feel it clicking then the solenoid is working but no power is getting from the positive starter post to the motor windings and you are looking at replacing the starter. If it doesn't click and check for power at the small wire to that solenoid during cranking. This wire will get power when the key is turned to the start position. If you have no power there you have an open circuit between the key and starter. That circuit will also have relay. The wire from the key switch will power a relay and the relay will send power to the starter. There is alot to go wrong and alot to check. Good luck.

also the big nut on the starter that all the cables go to tends to loosen making a poor connection and not recharging batteries
