I am an Int'l tech and I have hardly ever changed a brake light switch. The only thing I can think of is too much current draw through the circuit. The brake switch is powered from a 20 amp fuse or breaker. If you have a larger fuse because of more lights or something then yes you will burn out the contacts in the switch. The circuit is pretty simple. It is just an air switch that closes the contacts when you hit the brakes. Power then goes to the trailer brake relay and signal stat then out to the actual brake lights. You could have a partial short some where, including a bad relay, that is drawing too much current. Even if the 20 amp breaker is still there, with a partial short it may take longer to trip the breaker than the actual brake application. If all you have is the stock tail lights then really that circuit should only draw a few amps. Ohwell, as long at it is fixed at an International dealer you will get one year parts and labor warranty. Hope this helps!

How many switches have you replaced? Also make sure they putting on the right switch. There are different types, such as the -park brake switch- and -cruise kick-out-.

Red is the correct one. Could be a bad batch of parts if they were replaced by the same shop.
