ON an old 1988 Pete 377 we have it is in need of a tach. The one in it is verified "dead" as I swapped a good working one to test, and it worked. Anyway, I checked a few salvage yards in Kansas, and nobody had one. So I called Doonans(Peterbilt dealer) out of Wichita, and they have a new "replacement" tach. Said something about having to be calibrated to truck or something such as that, plus it was over $200! Yikes! Anyway, how does this new tach work, as far as "calibrating", does it have dip switches or something?
thanks,
Jim
